Over the past ten years of employment,
I have actively engaged in various aspects of
conceptualisation, design and execution
within the field of media design.
These projects have included creating motion
graphic elements for television commercials
to the broadcast design of on-air promos.
I have also worked on corporate videos,
as part of the design and production team.
My foundation in multimedia design has also
provided me with a number of opportunities
to engage in the graphic design, motion menu
animation and authoring aspects of interactive
multimedia DVDs and CD-ROMs.
In recent years, I have begun to create and
explore conceptual multimedia installations
ideas. These have been exhibited as part of
solo and group exhibitions.
With a strong desire to learn new aspects
of media and design, I continue to seek out
new opportunities to challenge myself
to grow as an artist, designer and
communicator.

Observations Of A Casual Listener
Observations Of A Casual Listener is a project that delves into my personal
journals. It is a sequence of questions and thoughts that have shaped my
understanding and character over the past decade.
This process of discovery and breaking of mind-sets formed the final script.
The phrases contained in the sequence were in essence affected by all of you.
It is indeed our audience, the people we live, work and meet with daily that
play a part in our development. However, the tough part of this process is,
honesty.
Can we be honest with ourselves?
We have to intentionally filter the myriad of influences and find out who we
really are and not live out what people perceive us to be. It is then that we
can truly be free.
Hence for me, the initial striving for self-realisation finally gave in to
contentment with simply being.
You will find in the sequence various sections of text in bold. These sections
sit in contrast with the rest of the text, which remain in their default weights.
The full form of the texts serve as broad questions of contemplation, while
the bolder sections represent critique of my self-image.
The rectangular forms framing the sequence are representative of the
walls that I have had to overcome in life.
These walls soared over me, for a time. Eventually as each one was broken
down, their remains became steps that led me into my current future.
